It seems like every day I don't carry my camera, I run across a great shot. So now, I have the point-and-shoot with me all the time. Hopefully this will mean I take more shots.

P.S. - It's really annoying when DA's submission system screws with you. I got two 's right away after submitting something, but it was the wrong frickin' resolution. So yeah, please it again and leave your comments again!

I don't believe in editing photos beyond some simple color correction, cropping, and framing. The natural world is beautiful enough with a computer's touch. And so, my images will be as natural as possible. I won't make any edits for any reason other than to make the picture more accurate to the original natural image. That is the highest form of photography, for it is the most difficult thing -- to show the full breadth and beauty of nature in but a single picture frame.

The City of San Jose is often overlooked. Many people blame it on the city's lack of a distinct identity -- that the city's architecture is more often than not imitations of other great buildings. I'm going to be photographing San Jose's myriad statues and murals in an attempt to give the town some color, at the very least in my own eyes.

Well, my digital camera went kaputt. Thus is the problem with retractable lenses on compact cameras. If the thing is going to break in your pocket, why make it small enough to fit in your packet?

So, I've been taking good ol' film pictures. I'm also no longer a student of the university, however, and can no longer even pretend to be a photojournalism student to use their 35mm scanners (scanning the negative directly into the PC) as my ID card is now invalid.

So, once I can finally afford my new SD600 or S80 mid-range all-too-common digitcal camera, I'll be able to post a few things. Until then, just enjoy summertime in the City,

I doubt many of you can guess how happy it is to know people enjoy seeing the work of my hobby. Now if only I could get such good praise for my trade.
